FOLEY ARTIST, CREATIVE
With a distinguished career spanning an impressive forty-five years, I am a seasoned Foley Artist renowned for my expertise in Feature Films. My notable credits encompass iconic works such as "E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial," "Back to the Future," "Schindler's List," "Interstellar," "Avengers: Endgame," and "Frozen." My proficiency extends beyond films to include contributions to Video Games, Commercials, and Television, earning recent accolades with an Emmy for "I am Groot" and a Peabody Award for "Andor."
Notably, I possess extensive experience in the Design and Implementation of creating Foley Stages from the ground up. My portfolio includes integral roles in sixteen films recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, garnering acclaim for Best Sound Editing or Best Sound. In recognition of my outstanding contributions, I was honored with the "Career Achievement Award" in 2013 by the MPSE (Motion Picture Sound Editors). Additionally, I've conducted over three hundred Zoom interviews with filmmakers globally.
For speaking engagements worldwide, my representation through The Mollie Plotkin Group facilitates accessibility. Specializing in the unique craft of Foley Artistry, I bring a wealth of experience and skill to enhance every project I undertake.
FOLEY ARTIST, PRODUCER
Having proudly served in the United States Navy and receiving an honorable discharge, I transitioned to pursue my dream as an animator where I discovered sound. Within this domain, I specialized in Sound Design/ADR, making significant contributions to various digital comic strips (including Dilbert, Mother Goose & Grimm, and Bloom County) and online gaming cinematics (such as DC Universe Online, and Epic Mickey).
In the course of my journey, I delved into Foley, founding the world's largest private Foley Artist community, which now boasts over 7000 + members worldwide. My experiences took me to collaborate with Finland's H5 film sound, where I had the privilege of working alongside Heikki Kossi (Borg vs. McEnroe) or contributing to projects in my hometown of Austin (such as Last Flag Flying, and Where'd You Go Bernadette), to name a few. Additionally, I had the honor of consulting with John Roesch on a stage in Northern California. As an active member of the MPSE (Motion Picture Sound Editors), my passion extends to every facet of film, television, and gaming creation.
PRODUCER
After dedicating two decades to my military career, I transitioned my expertise as a multicultural logistician to the film industry, where I now work as a producer for motion pictures and television.
My journey began with a strong passion to serve my country and pursue helicopter piloting. I underwent initial flight training in an Army Bell Jet Ranger and eventually advanced to piloting the CH-47 Chinook Helicopter.
Advancing in my military career, I achieved a promotion to a Strategic Defense Planning role. Over the course of a decade, my responsibilities involved extensive networking and meticulous logistical planning with over a dozen nations. This experience sharpened my cross-cultural communication skills, earning me the moniker "The Governor" in global circles.
My production background of multiple shorts, music videos, public service announcements, and an ad for the United States Coast Guard earned me the Bronze Award in Television Advertising from the American Advertising Awards.
